Hope & Glory

Photobucket
Hope & Glory was an Oi! band out of Treviso, Italy, who got there start in 1983. With their raw classic sound, they self-released an EP in 84' before a lineup change and a final disbanding. A few of the member went on to be in a ska band after their stint in Hope & Glory.

Plastic Surgery

Photobucket

Plastic Surgery was an Italian band in the 80's. They released one 7" in 1986 entitled "Rivolta". Their classic song "Rivolta" has been translated and covered by Spain's Division 250, Italy's Legittima Offesa, Portugal's LusitanOi!, and German band Faustrecht. Unfortunately they're not around anymore, but their music is still heard world-wide by true fans of Oi!

División 250

Photobucket
División 250, formed in 1991, and are one of Spain's first nationalist bands. This Valencia band released 4 albums, getting less politically extreme as the years went on. One of the most driving melodic bands in the Oi! scene, the lyrics usually had to do with separatism, capitalism, abortion and later on The Yugoslavian Wars. With exception of their first album "Sangre De Conquistadores" which had some pretty racially charged lyrics. They covered the music of "Böhse Onkelz - Wir ham' noch lange nicht genug" and Italian band "Plastic Surgery's Rivolta" filled in with their own lyrics. "División 250" does not play together anymore, but never said farewell, at leastnot to my knowledge. Lead singer Manuel Canduela is now the leader and spokesmen for "Democracia Nacional, which is a Spanish nationalist political party. Bassist Toni Ortiz went on to play guitar in the more metal influenced band Brigada 1238, before his death in 2007.

Crowbar

Photobucket
Very melodic for the time, short lived and not too well known, "Crowbar" was an English band from the 80's. This band had only one member, who recruited studio musicians for the recording. The only release from this band featured 2 songs, a cover of The Clash's "White Riot", and a Crowbar original "Hippie Punks" in 1983. Caption Oi! ended up releasing these songs on a rarities comp, and German band Kampfzone covered Hippie Punks on one of their earlier releases.
